1971 Honda CB450

1971 Honda CB450

Honda’s very first “big displacement” twin. The groundbreaking double overhead 450cc twin camshaft motor was initially banned from racing for having unfair advantage over other big displacement models, even those with bigger engines. This was the model that announced Honda’s arrival in every segment of motorcycling, leading to their domination of the market throughout the 1970’s.

We gave this bike a full service and tuneup, including all fresh fluids, the carburetors were cleaned & synced, the points cleaned, and the timing set. The fuel lines were replaced. It has a new battery, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and spark plug caps.

Overall, the metal is in quite nice condition with minimal patina. The original paint is sun faded on top of the fuel tank and headlamp bucket. The bucket itself has a chip by the headlamp rim. The aftermarket exhaust looks and sounds great! (See the video linked below) The seat is newly reupholstered.
